FEATURES OF THE WEIGHBRIDGES AND SCALES
CWCSA weighbridges scales are suitable for many different sectors and no adaptation is necessary.
An accuracy level of 20kg is achieved in terms of the minima set out by the NRCS.
All wiring of the weighbridge and scales is fixed in casings inside the platform and conforms to the protection system of IP-67 and IP-68.
The 22m and 11m weighbridges and scales can accept a mass of up to 100 metric tons and 60 metric tons respectively.
Load cell AND WEIGHT CELL positioning
The shear beam load cells/weigh cells are installed approximately 1.5 meters from the weighbridge/scale ends resulting in protection from deposited mud and water from vehicles.
The robustness and stiffness of the platform results in the loading being evenly distributed over the platform and not concentrated to a specific load cell/weigh cell point, thus enabling CWCSA to offer real time calibration.
The weighbridge/scale sides have a 250mm high edge rail that guides the vehicles and prevents them driving off the weighbridge/scale. At the entrances the rails are designed to prevent cutting of the tyres of the vehicles.
The system has earned 29 International standard certifications including, ISO9000/9001, OIML, R-60, NIST, RFI, MUTUAL SYSTEM, N.E.T.P, EX PROOF
MOBILITY & ADAPTABILITY
A basic weighbridge/scale installed on a tight bedding can be readily moved from one site to another and all components e.g. weigh cells, load cells, connecting card and platforms are transferable, thus making such relocations highly cost effective.
The weighbridge and scales is not manufactured on the site. It is delivered prefabricated and for a basic system is assembled and installed within 14 to 18 hours with 2 entry ramps included.
It typically takes 4 to 8 hours to move a basic weighbridge/scale system within a 30km radius.
The system is adaptable and suitable for contractors who have a need to relocate their site within a short period of time to a new location, thus maximizing operation time.
